SAT Writing sample essay. DATE: 9-1-99 SIZE: 5.62 KB Topic 3 for fall start and re-start. Many students claim that if they work very hard in a course, that they should earn very high grades. Others claim that achievement rather than effort should determine student grades. Please write an essay that will explain your position on this issue. All pages must have 150 legible handwritten words unless you are submitting a re-type or re-edit of a handwritten page. Required Weekly assignments include: Monday One book report or documentary each week. One book report every other week. One documentary every other week. Tuesday A. 4 pages of an AP book essay. 1. Paraphrased original writing by the student. 2. Or at least 600 words of an AP essay copied and then a re-edit of the same 600 words paraphrased the following week. Wednesday 1. Copy 600 words of questions at the end of an assigned chapter. 2. Copy 600 words of an ACT or SAT test. 3. Re-phrase or copy the rules of grammar or writing assigned. Thursday 4 pages of a Science biography personality as assigned. Friday 4 pages of Social studies biography personality as assigned. More pages earn more page pay. Maximum 30 per day or 150 per week. You can earn extra credit and extra page pay, 8 pages. Hand in all of the completed steps of an independent research paper. You must return the tape we lend you to get credit. Re-write your hand writing on the computer for extra credit and page pay. Record an assigned 20 minute tape for 2 pages of extra credit. Temporary assignments Students with low level vocabulary or hand writing skills: 1. May copy guide phrases in a Phrase List workbook. 2. May copy an assigned book or newspaper article. |
