LiteracyFree.com May 2007 INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OUR GLOBAL LITERACY CAMPAIGN We
need volunteers around the globe to
volunteer for the following: 1.
Translate this newsletter, and
forward it to others (print and mail, or e-mail). 2.
Learn our Peterson Reading system and
use our free materials to teach English. We
especially need volunteers in
disaster and poverty stricken regions around the world. You
DON’T have to
speak English to teach Peterson Reading. Peterson
Reading can be used to
teach reading, writing and language
to children and adults of all ages. Volunteers
can collect old 8 1/2 x 11 papers
from their offices, print
out lessons on the unused side, toner cost is 1.5 cent per page. We
provide all materials and
volunteer training over the Internet. Only minimal technology is needed to run our audio curriculum and print. Materials
are available in
the following formats: 1.
MP3 downloadable from Web 2.
Audio CD Alternatives
are available for
areas where technology is not available. |
WHY
ARE WE DOING THIS? To
prove that volunteers will share their internet with other person. People
around the world want to learn English and spread literacy. The
problem is limited access to materials and training. It
is a problem that should not exist. The
Internet makes it possible for
us to get our materials to all internet users.
All
Peterson Reading materials have
been developed, tested and used at Accelerated
Schools. We
have Spanish and English
speaking counselors available
to answer your questions and give you support. You
can reach us by e-mail or
by telephone in the 001-1/(303)758-2003 ________________________ Use
