action was taken at the Board of Trustees meeting of the North Central
Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) held
Chicago on April 1, 2007. On behalf of the accredited schools in the
Association, we extend congratulation to your school, staff, and community.
Enclosed, please find an accreditation seal for you to affix above
the 2006-07 school year on your NCA CASI accreditation certificate. We
encourage you to display your certificate in a visible location so that the school
community is aware of your accreditation.
To help you share and celebrate your accreditation with your community,
we have created an on-line Administrator Public Relation Kit available at www.ncacasi.org/members/prkit.
The kit includes: press releases, advertisement templates, Q&A guides for
the community, and more. We encourage you to visit the PR Kit, download the
accreditation press release, and send it to your local media to share its
accreditation with the broader community.
We are pleased to inform you that your NCA CASI accreditation now
connects you with an even larger network of schools and extends your mark of
approval beyond the North Central region. Last year, the NCA CASI Board of
Trustees and the Board of Directors of the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) voted to
bring together NCA CASI, SACS CASI, and the National Study of School Evaluation
(NSSE) into one strong and unified organization known as AdvancED.
As part of this unification process, the NCA CASI Board of Trustees has
approved the AdvancED bylaw
to serve as the bylaw for NCA CASI. This action requires approval from the NCA
CASI membership. A blot form with more detailed information is enclosed.
